We are looking to recruit a Night Nurse Practitioner to join our team working in Berwick Infirmary . The successful applicant must have a clinical assessment qualification with experience in working in A&E, Urgent treatment environment and have the skills to be an independent practitioner.
The Night practitioner team cover Urgent Treatment Centre and support the inpatient ward as hospital Clinical lead once UTC closes at Midnight. They will need to attend UTC overnight should anyone self present
The practitioners role is to provide independent advanced clinical assessment and management of patients in the Urgent Treatment Centre.
The practitioners are responsible for flow through the department and ensuring timely assessment, treatment, discharge and referrals where needed.
They are the senior nurse on site during the night and will support the ward with any clinical issues surrounding patient care
This post falls within the provisions of Agenda for Change Annex 20 - Development of Professional Roles, whereby upon completion of an agreed set of competencies you may move onto the next pay band without the need for an application for a post at a higher level.
