Shaw Healthcare is hiring a compassionate Nurse for Homefield House in Basingstoke to deliver high-quality care to elderly residents, including those with dementia. The role focuses on medication administration, care planning, and supportive nursing activities in a dedicated team environment.

You will work 12 hours per week with a Tuesday night shift, contributing to a caring culture and maintaining records in line with CQC standards. The role offers competitive pay at £22.39 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in elderly care, including dementia, is essential.
• Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health and care needs and develop care plans.
• Administer medication and monitor responses.
• Provide nursing care including wound care and palliative care.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for personalised care.
• Support daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Provide emotional support to service users and families.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Follow CQC guidelines and contribute to policies and training.
• Participate in induction and ongoing staff development.
