Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Kitchen Porter for night shifts (7:30pm–3:30am) to keep our busy kitchen clean and well organised. You’ll wash dishes, keep surfaces sanitised, and support the chefs with basic prep in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils and equipment by hand or with industrial dishwashers.
• Kitchen cleanliness – Sanitize surfaces and prep areas, dispose of waste correctly.
• Food preparation – Assist chefs with basic prep tasks.
• Inventory management – Help receive, store and organise kitchen supplies.
• Health and safety – Maintain cleanliness and ensure equipment is in good working order.
