Job summary

Proman is recruiting on behalf of a client in Burnley for a Hygiene Operative on nights. The role focuses on deep cleaning of production machinery, dismantling for cleaning, and maintaining high hygiene standards across the site.

The position offers a pay rate of £13.78–£14.18 per hour via agency, with 40 hours per week and potential to secure a permanent role. Full training provided; candidates must be reliable, physically fit, and able to work at height.

Qualifications

• Good written and spoken English is essential.
• Physically capable of demanding manual work.
• Comfortable working at height and in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean production machinery and equipment.
• Dismantle machines for cleaning and reassemble correctly.
• Clean large walk-in ovens and related areas.
• Clean walls, floors, ceilings, ducting, pipework and elevated areas.
• Work at height using suitable access equipment.
• Follow COSHH, Hygiene, Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards across the site.
• Support continuous improvement of hygiene standards.
