Job summary

Avara Foods Ltd. is hiring Night Hygiene Operatives at our Hereford site in Hereford, Herefordshire. You will work under a Team Leader to uphold hygiene standards, follow food safety rules and health and safety requirements.

Training is provided, with potential overtime and a structured shift pattern. We offer full training from day one, a guaranteed hours contract, on-site parking and a staff canteen. You’ll join a leading UK food business supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and

Qualifications

Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Achieve hygiene standards for the Hygiene team and adhere to health and safety at all times.
Follow tasks in line with food safety rules.
Meet individual and department targets and be aware of material and energy usage.
Co-operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards.
Perform manual handling of plant and equipment and isolate plant and machinery as required.
Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.
Comply with food safety and HSE guidelines and follow instructions from Team Leader/Management.
