Job summary

Sofina Foods in Hull is seeking a Night Factory Hygiene Operative dedicated to maintaining high cleanliness standards in a busy food manufacturing environment.

You will perform scheduled cleaning, strip down and clean machinery, and ensure PPE is used correctly, all while meeting daily deadlines and Health & Safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Physically fit and able to lift equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to understand cleaning requirements.
• May have prior experience as a hygiene operative or in a food manufacturing environment.
• Able to work with PPE and adapt to different environments.
• Works well under pressure to meet cleaning deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled daily cleaning tasks across various areas of the factory.
• Strip down and clean machinery, machine heads, and other equipment parts.
• Clean processing equipment, including trays, tools, and production lines.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in preparation areas and deep clean production spaces as required.
• Perform post-cleaning checks to ensure all areas meet hygiene requirements.
• Comply with company Health & Safety and Hygiene procedures at all times.
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is used and functioning correctly.
• Work effectively under time pressure to meet daily cleaning deadlines.
• Report any incidents, issues, or environmental concerns to your line manager.

The Role

As a Night Factory Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facility meets the highest cleanliness standards. This role is crucial in supporting our production process and ensuring the safety and quality of our products.

• Carry out scheduled daily cleaning tasks across various areas of the factory.
• Strip down and clean machinery, machine heads, and other equipment parts.
