Job summary

Pro-Pak Foods in Malton is seeking a Night Hygiene Manager to lead the night hygiene operation and ensure site cleanliness, food safety and safety standards are met. The role is Monday to Friday with a salary up to £55,000, reflecting leadership over the night team and close collaboration with production and maintenance.

You will plan staffing, train and assess team members, and drive continuous improvement in hygiene practices in a food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading night-shift teams in food manufacturing or FMCG is desirable.
• Strong focus on food safety, hygiene and health & safety.
• Proactive, reliable and accountable with good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the night hygiene team.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed safely, on time and to standard.
• Champion food safety, hygiene and health & safety across the site.
• Plan and manage staffing including agency cover and holidays.
• Train, coach and assess team members for competency.
• Monitor hygiene standards, microbiological results and records.
• Collaborate with Production, Technical and Maintenance to keep site safe and operational.
• Manage performance and conduct disciplinary processes where needed.
• Ensure correct use of chemicals, PPE, equipment and hygiene procedures.
• Deliver thorough handovers to incoming shift highlighting risks.

We’re looking for a Night Hygiene Manager to lead our night hygiene operation, ensuring our site, equipment and production areas are cleaned safely, effectively and to the highest standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead, motivate and develop the night hygiene team.

• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed safely, on time and to standard.

• Champion food safety, hygiene and health & safety across the site.

• Plan and manage staffing, including agency cover and holidays.

• Train, coach and assess team members to ensure competency.

• Monitor hygiene standards, microbiological results and documentation.

• Work closely with Production, Technical and Maintenance teams to keep the site safe and operational.

• Manage performance fairly and consistently, including return-to-work and disciplinary processes.

• Ensure correct use of chemicals, PPE, equipment and hygiene procedures.

• Deliver a thorough handover to the incoming shift, highlighting any cleanliness, food safety or foreign body risks.
