Job summary

Home Group in Workington is hiring a dedicated night worker to keep customers safe, buildings secure and welcoming. You’ll patrol, monitor CCTV, greet customers, handle repairs or cleaning, and act as the first line of support when the wider team isn’t on duty.

This role requires night shifts (8pm–8am) on a 4-on/4-off rota, travel between Workington and Cockermouth, and an enhanced DBS check (paid by us). A vehicle insured for business use is required, and Home Group offers great benefits

Qualifications

• Calm under pressure with strong communication skills.

• Good judgement and clear communication.
• Ability to recognise early issues and intervene sensitively.

Responsibilities

• Walk around the building checking CCTV, fire doors and communal areas.
• Greeting customers and visitors, picking up repairs or cleaning.
• The first line of support when the wider team isn’t around.
• Monitor and respond to incidents calmly, quickly and fairly.
• Work with colleagues to manage anti-social behaviour.
• Travel between Workington and Cockermouth homelessness services.
