Job summary

YHA York is seeking a Night Team Member to join our team at 42 Water End, Clifton, York. You will work 6pm–3am or 10pm–7am, welcome guests, deliver overnight service, conduct security walks, and maintain cleanliness.

You will communicate effectively, handle minor issues per safeguarding policies, support food service, and contribute to high customer care standards as part of a motivated team.

Qualifications

• Excellent timekeeping and flexible with shifts.
• Basic IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel.
• Food safety qualification is desirable.
• Knowledge of YHA and HEART values.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests overnight and provide overnight service.
• Conduct security walks and ensure guest safety.
• Serve drinks and assist breakfast service.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and comfort.
• Support reception and prepare necessary reports.
• Hand over information effectively while following safeguarding policies.
