Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Milton Keynes is recruiting a Dispatch Clerk to support a major automotive transport contract. The role is full-time on a permanent night shift, with hours 18:30–03:00 (potential 17:00 start in the New Year).

You will coordinate nightly dispatch, process paperwork, and liaise with drivers and depots to keep on-time departures. Ideal candidates have prior dispatch or transport administration experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and confidence handling

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, dispatch or fleet administration.
• Proficient with MS Office and transport management systems.
• Night shift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nightly dispatch activities to ensure timely vehicle movements.
• Process transport and delivery paperwork accurately.
• Liaise with drivers, depot staff and management teams.
• Monitor vehicle departures and arrivals.
• Update internal systems and maintain records.
• Investigate and resolve dispatch-related issues.
• Ensure paperwork complies with company procedures.
• Support wider transport operations as needed.
