Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Market Drayton is seeking a Despatch Team Leader to supervise a 4on 4off shift from 6pm to 6am. You will drive safety, efficiency, and quality in the despatch operation, coaching a team of 10+ staff and collaborating with cross-functional functions to meet customer service targets at pace.

Qualifications

• Hold a management H&S qualification.
• Experience in FMCG environments.
• Preferably understanding of Transport management.
• Be conversant with and worked with WMS.
• Has been responsible for managing a workforce of more than 10 people.
• Able to demonstrate a practical logic based approach to problem solving.
• Able to understand KPI driven targets.
• Good working ability on Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the despatch team to deliver a safe, efficient operation.
• Drive performance against health & safety, customer service, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Promote a safety culture and ensure audits and actions are completed on time.
• Investigate accidents/near-misses and implement improvements across the site.
• Ensure quality paperwork compliance and accuracy to required standards.
• Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Train staff to work in line with site COP/CCP/QCCP&TCCP and safety procedures.
• Manage daily resources to optimise despatch and goods in operations.
