Job summary

Audley Villages is seeking a Night Porter to ensure the village remains safe, welcoming and well-presented through the night. You will provide quiet, friendly support to owners and guests, conduct overnight security checks, monitor CCTV and respond to emergencies.

You will also assist with overnight cleaning, refuse collection, pool and leisure facility preparation, and reception duties, working independently and calmly to manage priorities and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in night, security, hospitality, care, facilities or customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication skills and good written and spoken English.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Basic computer skills and confidence using systems to record information.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in unexpected or emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular security checks and monitor CCTV.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Provide warm, friendly and professional presence overnight.
• Supervise the reception area and manage overnight calls.
• Identify and report hazards, maintenance issues or unusual activity.
• Support owners while maintaining boundaries and privacy.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in communal areas.
• Complete overnight cleaning, refuse collection and other duties.
• Prepare pool and leisure facilities for the following day.
