Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care is seeking a Complex Care Assistant for night shifts in Crewkerne, Somerset. You will support a non-verbal young man overnight, monitor wellbeing, manage personal care, and assist with BiPAP use, ensuring safety and comfort. Training and ongoing support are provided.

The role offers meaningful, person-centred care with career development opportunities within the Taunton team. DBS checks and right-to-work verifications will be arranged in line with regulations.

Qualifications

• At least six months paid care experience.
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate, reliable nature.
• Commitment to delivering person-centred care with good references.
• Driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide waking night support and observation.
• Assist with bedtime and morning routines.
• Assist with personal care and monitor seizures; respond appropriately.
• Support safe use of BiPAP machine; promote dignity, comfort and wellbeing.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with client and family.
