We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team of Night Care Workers at the Lincolnshire Secure Unit in Sleaford. Our Night Care Workers work 4 nights on, 4 nights off, from 9.45pm - 7.15am, and receive an enhancement of one-third of all hours worked between 10pm and 6am. The shift rota includes evenings and weekends.
The role involves checking on the children and young people in our care during the night. This can vary between constant observation and welfare checks every 15 minutes. You will be provided with a clearly defined routine, support, and training.
You will be joining a small, close-knit team of Night Care Workers at Lincs Secure Unit. Children and young people come to our secure home via the courts, the Youth Custody Service, or for Welfare reasons. We aim to empower these young people to believe in themselves and promote the best outcomes through education, health, and intervention.
We ensure our employees are well-trained in trauma and therapeutic support, as enabling the children and young people in our care to feel safe and thrive is our passion.
Previous experience within a care profession is not essential, as long as you have a good understanding of caring for children. Our residents can present challenging behavior, so compassion, excellent communication skills, and a calm, professional demeanor are important. Basic IT skills, adaptability, and motivation to provide the best care are also required.
You will join a supportive, experienced team, and we will provide the necessary training and support. You will be required to complete a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma.
