Job summary

Pilgrims' Friend Society is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant for night shifts at Bethany House, a 26-bed residential home near Preston, Lancashire. The role covers 24/7 care with dignity and person-centred support.

You will supervise staff, maintain care plans, assist with personal care and meals, and help residents stay independent. Requires 2+ years in care and an RQF Level 2+ qualification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Senior Care Assistant in residential care.
• RQF Health & Social Care Level 2+ qualification.
• Able to lead shifts and support the team during night duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, professional care to residents.
• Supervise all staff on the Care Team during duty and ensure Health, Safety and Security.
• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents to provide comfort and reassurance.
• Ensure care plans are up-to-date and followed.
• Encourage independence and community involvement within the home.
