Job summary

Pilgrims’ Friend Society in Preston is seeking compassionate Care Assistants to join our friendly care team in a busy home setting.

You will provide high-quality personal care, assist residents with bathing, meals and daily activities, and help maintain dignity and comfort while promoting independence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Provide high quality, professional care to residents.
• Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as bathing.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents to comfort, assist and give reassurance.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Support independence and community involvement within the home.
• Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks.
• Be empathetic with older people and able to work in a team.
• Be well-organised, adaptable and practical.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
• Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as helping a resident with a bath.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
• Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
• Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
• Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
• Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks when needed.
• Be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have empathy with them.
• Be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients.
