Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a HART service care worker to provide domiciliary care and reablement support, helping clients regain independence and manage short-term needs. The role involves flexible night shifts (10.30pm–7.30am), travel between county sites, and potential weekend work.

An enhanced DBS check is required. Experience in social care, multi-agency collaboration and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

NVQ level 2 in a relevant field or equivalent
Experience of working with other agencies and/or in a multi‑agency environment
Knowledge of working with people from all walks of life and delivering quality services
Ability to assist with moving and handling of people who use the service
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with a wide range of people
Ability to prioritise effectively across a wide range of demands
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work

Responsibilities

The HART service provides care and support offers including reablement and short-term crisis support.
Role may require working outside normal hours and travelling between sites across the county.
Adhere to adult social care strategies, regulations and service frameworks; support residents inclusively.
Attend to flexible working options including rota-based night shifts (10.30pm–7.30am) and weekends/bank holidays.
