Job summary

Marton Care Homes is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts at Heywood Court Care Home in Heywood, Oldham. You will help residents with daily living, provide compassionate support, and contribute to a warm, dignified care environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents with daily living.
• Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs with dignity and comfort.
• Pay attention to residents with limited mobility or difficulties, using aids as needed.
• Monitor Residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Support continence and assist with care for residents who are dying or have progressive illnesses.
• Observe care planning needs and complete daily records per policy.
• Assist in social activities and hobbies within the Home.
• Answer nurse calls, door, and telephone promptly and appropriately.
• Report on residents' well-being under supervision of senior staff.
• Carry out regular checks on Residents as directed.
• Make Visitors feel welcome and provide refreshments as required.
• Make and change beds, keep rooms clean and tidy, and manage waste disposal per policy.
• Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents/Relatives.
• Record participation and feedback to ensure meaningful engagement.
