Qualifications

• Experience in a care home or home care is desirable.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts with high standards of care.
• Fluent English communication and clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' or clients' conditions overnight, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as toileting, mobility support, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or urgent needs during the night shift.
• Maintain accurate records of care activities, observations, and any incidents using IT systems or paper logs.
• Communicate clearly with day staff, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Support residents' or clients' emotional wellbeing by providing reassurance and companionship during the night.
• Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold a safe environment for everyone.
