Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Care Assistant - Nights at Brentwood Arches Care Home in Brentwood. You will support residents with personal care, helping them maintain independence, dignity and comfort throughout night shifts.

The role includes observing residents for health changes, reporting risks, and working closely with the care team to ensure continuity of care. Training is provided, DBS check funded, and UK work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful to residents and staff.
• Be an efficient worker able to follow instructions.
• Be adaptable to cover a range of duties at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in personal hygiene care to maintain independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognising and reporting clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection.
• Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.
• Practising safe systems of work across all tasks.
