Westward Care is seeking a compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will provide high-quality personal care, respond to calls, and support residents through night routines, ensuring safety and dignity throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring, empathetic and patient attitude toward older adults.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a night care team.
• Dependability, punctuality and physical capacity for night shift duties.
• NVQ / QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Relevant experience in care settings and safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care during night hours including bedtime routines, night-time check-ins, and morning preparation.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells, emergencies, or signs of distress.
• Assist residents with mobility, positioning and pressure area care as per care plans.
• Update care logs, fluid balance charts and night monitoring reports.
• Participate in clear verbal handovers with the day team to ensure continuity of care.
