Look Ahead Care and Support is recruiting a Night Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join our Learning disabilities Social Care Service in Hertfordshire.

The role involves 21:30-07:30 overnight shifts on a fixed-term contract for 1 year. You will build supportive relationships, conduct holistic assessments, and develop recovery-focused support plans to empower customers in their journey.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent with some or equivalent sector work experience.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere.
• Carry out holistic assessments of new customers incorporating relevant statutory referral information.
• Conduct regular key work sessions to achieve Support Plan goals.
• Create support plans based on ongoing assessments and available services for recovery.
• Manage risks with positive risk-taking approach.
• Support customers to self-manage medications through re-enablement programmes.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to complement interventions.
• Develop productive relationships with partner organisations to improve outcomes.
• Support the team and maintain safety standards.
• Involve customers in service design and delivery.
• Adhere to lone working and health & safety policies.
