Job summary

Look Ahead is recruiting Specialist Behavioural Support Workers for our Learning Disabilities Social Care Service in Hertfordshire. This 40-hour-per-week role offers a salary of £29,672 per annum and a structured pattern with 07:15-14:45 and 14:15-21:45 shifts including weekends.

You will build supportive relationships, conduct holistic assessments, develop recovery-focused plans, manage risks, and work with partners to improve outcomes while adhering to health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Some or equivalent sector work experience.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere.
• Carry out holistic assessments of new customers incorporating statutory referral information.
• Conduct regular key work sessions to achieve Support Plan goals.
• Create support plans based on ongoing assessment and resources available to aid recovery.
• Ensure ongoing assessment and management of risks with positive risk taking.
• Provide support and access to services to empower customers to manage medications and re-enablement.
