Look Ahead is seeking a Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join our learning disabilities service in Hertfordshire. The role involves weekend work, equity of access, and shift-based scheduling with mandatory driving and sleep-in shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with Autism/Challenging Behaviour/learning disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a busy weekend-rotational role while maintaining care quality.

Responsibilities

• Support customers to lead active, fulfilling lives and try new activities.
• Help develop independent living skills (cooking, shopping, cleaning, decorating).
• Support sensory routines and new experiences.
• Assist in communicating wants/needs in a person-centred way.
• Use Positive Behaviour Support and autism-specific approaches to reduce anxieties.
• Collect behavioural data and required paperwork for management review.
