Pilgrim's Europe in Grantham is seeking a Bagging Operative to operate and monitor the bagging line in a frozen chicken production environment. The role involves ensuring safe, continuous operation, quality checks and accurate documentation under health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Monitor correct filling and sealing of bags and ensure quality.
• Carry out regular quality checks on packaging (seal integrity, weight accuracy, labelling, and product presentation).
• Perform basic machine adjustments and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete production, quality, and traceability documentation accurately and in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Work in a frozen environment with strict adherence to health and safety, hygiene, and cold-store practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the bagging process to ensure correct filling and sealing and report any issues promptly.
• Carry out regular packaging quality checks including seal integrity, weight accuracy, labelling and presentation.
• Make basic adjustments and minor repairs to minimise downtime and report technical issues to maintenance.
• Record production, quality and traceability documentation accurately per procedures and legal requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality and maintenance teams.
• Adhere to health & safety in a frozen environment and follow hygiene and cold-store procedures.
