Pilgrim’s Europe is seeking a Bagging Operative to join our Grantham-based team. You will operate and monitor the bagging machine within a frozen chicken production setting, ensuring safe, continuous operation and high product quality.

You will perform quality checks, adjust equipment as needed, and complete production documentation in line with procedures and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes health and safety, hygiene, and effective cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Experience operating packaging equipment in a food production environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor correct filling and sealing of bags and ensure product packaging quality.
• Carry out regular quality checks on packaging (seal integrity, weight accuracy, labeling, presentation).
• Perform basic machine adjustments and minor repairs to minimise downtime and report issues needing maintenance.
