Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an experienced Machine Minder / Machine Operator to monitor the production process of primary poultry products, meeting required product and customer specifications and tight deadlines. You will work as part of a team, set up and operate process machinery to achieve production targets and quality standards, reporting to the Operations Team Lead, with nights shifts and on-site training provided.

Location: Blenheim Rd, Ashbourne, DE6 1HA.

Qualifications

• Good level of English.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Interest in maintenance and machinery.
• Flexible, reliable and willing to learn.
• Positive attitude and good team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (FMCG experience desirable).
• Comfortable working in a lairage environment involving live birds.
• Ideally hold FLT (Fork Lift Truck) experience.
• Confident completing paperwork, records and pre-start checks accurately.
• Willing to develop knowledge and understanding of animal welfare and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the production process of primary poultry products to meet specifications and deadlines.
• Set up and operate process machinery to achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Liaise with operatives and supervisory staff and work as part of a team under the Operations Team Lead.
