Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Temporary Staffing Operations Senior Manager to lead the Temporary Staffing service across the Trust, ensuring effective booking, deployment and management of temporary workers.

In this senior role you will oversee workforce planning, agency spend, governance and reporting to NHS England, while building strong relationships with clinical divisions and senior leaders to deliver safe staffing and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience and proven ability in managing organisational change
• Knowledge of working in the NHS
• Experience of managing a range of staff or significant service
• Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex issues
• Significant experience of budgetary management
• Management experience at senior level minimum of 5 years

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the Temporary Staffing service, overseeing the management of temporary workers across multiple hospital sites.
• Oversee service performance, workforce planning, agency management, governance, financial oversight and service improvement.
• Lead a large multidisciplinary team, build relationships with stakeholders across the Trust and represent the service at local, regional and national forums.
• Deliver workforce initiatives, reduce agency spend, improve performance and ensure compliance with NHS England requirements and Trust policies.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, Nursing, Medical Staffing and Operational Services to develop policies and procedures.
• Represent the Trust at local, regional and system-wide forums to shape the future of temporary staffing.
