Job summary

Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Limited (DSFS) is seeking a Security Operative for the Chesterfield Royal Hospital on a 0-hour bank contract. The role requires a valid SIA Frontline licence and flexibility to provide 24/7 security cover, including night shifts and weekend enhancements, at the hospital site in Chesterfield.

Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV and access control, patrolling on foot and by vehicle, logging activities, and responding to security incidents in a NHS

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA Frontline licence.
• GCSE English and Maths at minimum grade C.
• Experience in security or customer service.
• Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Keep a log of all duties per shift.
• Assist with air ambulance ground security and ensure safe operation.
• Monitor access control systems.
• Patrol hospital grounds to deter incidents.
• Respond to security/fire incidents and assist staff as needed.
• Use restraint techniques when trained.
• Respond to baby tagging alarms on wards.
• Manage Control Room duties including CCTV monitoring and providing cover.
• Lock/unlock departments and manage alarms.
