Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Security Operative on a 0-hour bank contract for the DSFS security team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The role covers 24/7 security needs, incident response, and access control across hospital facilities.

Applicants must hold a Frontline SIA licence, be flexible to cover shifts, and have NHS security experience. Training and equipment are provided where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Frontline SIA licence.
• Experience in security, preferably within NHS settings.
• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control and intruder alarms.

Responsibilities

• Keep records of duties for each shift in a personal log.
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems; respond to incidents.
• Patrol hospital grounds to deter security issues.
• Respond to security and fire incidents and assist staff as needed.
