Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Bank Security Officer on a 0 hour contract to support the security team at the hospital. The role involves 24/7 security coverage, incident response, access control monitoring, and patrols to deter and detect threats across hospital grounds and facilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Security or Customer Service industry.
• Knowledge and experience of IT systems including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of security systems, such as CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and car parking systems.
• GCSEs grade C or above in English and Maths.
• Valid SIA licence in Frontline.
• A recognised qualification in security and/or physical intervention.
• Excellent knowledge or qualifications in Customer Service and Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Keep a record of all duties carried out each shift in a personal log.
• Assist with safe operation during take-off and landing of Air Ambulance and security of same whilst on ground.
• Monitor the access control systems.
• Maintain a highly visible deterrent by patrolling the hospital on foot and using CRH vehicle.
• Respond to security/fire incidents on CRH sites and assist with locked areas, missing patients, or violence incidents.
• Use of restraint techniques if trained to do so.
• Respond to baby tagging alarms on relevant wards.
• Carry out Control Room duties including CCTV monitoring and cover for Control Room staff.
• Unlocking and locking departments and resetting alarms as required.
