Job summary

DSFS Ltd is seeking a Domestic Services staff member to join the team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. This part-time role covers 16 hours per week on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays, delivering high-quality domestic services to wards and communal areas.

The successful candidate will follow NHS cleaning standards, use cleaning equipment correctly, and adhere to infection control guidelines. Training will be provided and flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Basic education to include Maths and English.
• Good communication skills are required for patient and colleague interactions.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH is desirable.
• Able to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean specific areas in line with NHS standards and frequencies.
• Work to the day-to-day schedule and rota basis.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and maintain equipment after use.
• Help prevent infection by following the National colour code system.
• Secure cleaning cupboards and manage keys responsibly.
• Attend mandatory training and comply with hospital policies.
