Job summary

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering an apprenticeship in administration within the Radiology & Imaging admin team. The role supports telephone queries, referrals, letters, interpreters, and appointment management while training toward Diploma Level 2 Administration Assistant.

Apprentices are paid at the apprentice rate for the first year and then receive age-related NMW thereafter for the fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Keyboard and computer literacy skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality.
• Willingness to undertake training to meet post development.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients, visitors and NHS staff into the department and direct them to waiting areas.
• Answer calls and deal with queries or enquiries from staff and the public.
• Schedule patient appointments and handle cancellations.
• Register referral data onto electronic systems accurately and timely.
• Assist with post and distribution; participate in admin team meetings.
• Provide admin cover for other sections as required.
