Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking motivated individuals to join their Portering Services team. This is a physically demanding, rewarding role that supports patient experience and the smooth running of our services. We are hiring for full-time and part-time positions.

Roles involve working a 24-hour rota across 7 days with various shifts, including early, late and night duties. A full UK driving licence and the ability to walk long distances are essential.

Qualifications

• NHS experience is required.
• A Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• English and Maths at grade C or above required.
• Experience dealing with vulnerable people is desirable.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover a 24-hour rota across 7 days with 8-hour shifts.
• Walk long distances daily; transfer patients and move equipment/notes up to 15kg.
• Assist with internal post, ward deliveries and blood product distribution.
• Use on-site electric vehicles for waste collection and pharmacy deliveries.
• Full UK driving licence is required for the role.
