Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking motivated individuals to join the Portering Services team as Band 2 Porters. The role is physically demanding and offers a chance to contribute to patient care across a 24-hour, 7-day rota. Both full-time (37.5 hours) and part-time (22.75 hours) options are available.

Successful applicants will have NHS experience, a Full UK Driving Licence, and good English and maths grades. Please note sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• NHS experience
• Full UK Driving Licence
• English & Maths at C grade
• Experience of dealing with vulnerable people
• Previous customer Service experience/Experience dealing with the public

Responsibilities

• Cover a 24-hour rota over 7 days, with shifts including early, late and night duties.
• Assist with moving patients and equipment, and transferring notes between wards.
• Deliver internal post, pharmacy supplies and blood products where required.
• Use on-site vehicles for waste collection and deliveries; a full UK driving licence is required.
