Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable Team Leader to lead a team of drivers within the Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Transport Services (BSPS). The role focuses on safe, efficient transport of pathology supplies between hospital sites and NHS partners in the region.

You will provide day-to-day leadership, manage induction, training, objectives and performance, and support the Transport Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a team, ideally in transport/logistics or healthcare.
• COSHH awareness or equivalent health and safety knowledge.
• Ability to set objectives and monitor progress with good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of drivers and coordinate workloads and rotas.
• Ensure safe, timely transport of pathology specimens and supplies.
• Support the Transport Manager with staff development and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with NHS policies, health and safety and transport regulations.
• Cover runs as required and contribute to organisational initiatives.
