Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Transport Quality & Training Manager to design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality training for BSPS Transport staff. You will lead Health & Safety and COSHH, and oversee the Quality Management System, ensuring safe, compliant and patient-focused operations across the service.

You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate audits, and collaborate with Site Leads and Operations Manager to enhance service delivery while maintaining strong staff

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and hold a valid UK driving licence with no points.
• Experience delivering training courses is desirable.
• In-depth professional expertise from theory and practice.
• Sound knowledge of pathology transport operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality training programmes for BSPS Transport staff while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and Trust requirements.
• Act as Transport Lead for Health & Safety and COSHH, promoting a strong safety culture and implementing policies.
• Drive continuous improvement as Quality Lead for BSPS Transport, ensuring standards of quality, safety, and performance are met.
• Develop and coordinate the Quality Management System (QMS) with Site Leads and the Operations Manager.
• Monitor service performance and implement solutions to improve delivery.
• Ensure regulatory inspections and audits are supported and compliant.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve outcomes for service users and staff.
• Embed best practice and enhance processes to raise care standards.

• About the Role:
• In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programmes that ensure all transport staff meet legal, safety, and organisational requirements.
• You will champion a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring services are safe, effective, and patient-focused.
• You will also take the lead on Health & Safety and COSHH, ensuring robust systems are in place to protect staff, patients, and the wider public.
• As the Quality Lead, you will oversee the development and coordination of the Quality Management System, working closely with Site Leads and the Operations Manager to drive excellence across the service.

Main duties of the job

• Lead the delivery of effective, high-quality training programmes for BSPS Transport staff, ensuring full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and Trust requirements.
• Act as the Transport Lead for Health & Safety and COSHH, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all policies, procedures, and practices are implemented and maintained.
• Serve as the Quality Lead for BSPS Transport, driving continuous improvement and ensuring services meet required standards of quality, safety, and performance.
• Facilitate, coordinate, and continuously develop the Quality Management System (QMS) in collaboration with Site Leads and the Operations Manager.
• Monitor and evaluate service performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions to enhance service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, statutory, and accreditation requirements, supporting inspections and audits as required.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams to improve outcomes for service users and create a positive, supportive environment for staff.
• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of Support Services by embedding best practice, improving processes, and promoting high standards of care and service delivery.
