Job summary

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management LLP (YTHFM LLP) is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to join the Estates Department at Scarborough Hospital. The role focuses on maintaining building services and engineering systems within a busy NHS environment.

You will join a multidisciplinary team and be flexible with on-call/shift duties to ensure safe, reliable facilities. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Requires BTEC, City & Guilds Craft Certificate or NVQ 3 in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in a mechanical maintenance environment is desirable.
• Good general knowledge of building services and engineering maintenance.
• Ability to travel across Trust sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Based at Scarborough Hospital and available to work at any Trust site.
• Maintain a range of engineering services and building services.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team to support operations.
• Be flexible regarding hours and on-call/shift duties.
