University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust provides acute hospital care and invites applications for a Non-Clinical Support Worker on Central Delivery Suite at Royal Lancaster Infirmary in Lancaster. This NHS Band 2 role offers 37.5 hours per week: full or part-time, with shift work including days, nights and weekends.

You will help maintain a clean, safe ward environment, coordinate patient facilities, manage supplies, assist with bed making and patient transfers, and support staff

Qualifikationen

• Basic numeracy and literacy required; willingness to undertake NVQ.
• Previous experience in a care setting.
• Clear communication and respect for patient dignity.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate patient facilities services within the ward area.
• Order supplies for the ward and maintain stores.
• Keep the ward clean, safe, tidy and comfortable.
• Ensure food is available to meet patients' needs.
• Assist staff to welcome and guide patients and visitors.
• Assist with daily bed making.
• Prepare bed areas for transfer/discharge.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity.
• Maintain linen supply throughout the day.
• Respond to health emergencies as appropriate.
