Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Domestic Services professional to join our team at Chelmsford. You will oversee cleaning duties, ensure NSC standards are met, and support service delivery across wards and departments.

With responsibilities including audits, quality monitoring, and managing a diverse team, you will contribute to a safe, clean environment for patients and staff while promoting efficient, cost-effective practices within the Estates & Facilities unit.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable cleaning experience.
• English and Maths GCSEs level 4 or equivalent.
• NVQ level 3 in cleaning or equivalent.
• Intermediate numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (handheld PDA).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring cleaning duties and frequencies are carried out based on the 50 elements as specified by the NSC.
• Ensuring areas, wards and departments are ready to be audited at any time.
• Participating in daily joint cleaning audits and quality monitoring, with rectification plans completed promptly.
• Participating in a 7 day week management rota as scheduled.
• Understanding Domestic Service Level Agreements to ensure services are delivered cost-effectively.
• Managing a diverse team and resolving any team-related issues.
• Ensuring staff maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
