Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to support the Financial Accounts team in London. You will help prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, reconcile ledgers and assist with statutory reporting to NHS and HMRC deadlines.

This permanent, full-time role requires part-qualified CCAB or AAT, strong IT skills, IFRS knowledge and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Qualifications

• Be part-qualified CCAB at first level or hold an AAT qualification.
• English and Mathematics GCSE grade C or above or equivalent.
• Experience in a finance department; double-entry bookkeeping and year-end procedures.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
• Produce financial reports, NHS returns, VAT returns and monthly/annual statements.
• Reconcile general ledger control accounts and prepare journals.
• Review income contracts and identify applicable Financial Reporting Standards.
