Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Assistant Financial Accountant to join the Financial Accounts team. The role centers on reconciling general ledger control accounts and helping prepare VAT, CIS, income tax, National Insurance and NHS pension returns, alongside the statutory accounts.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified CCAB accountant (first level) or AAT status.
• Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Help produce monthly, quarterly and annual accounts through an assigned portfolio
• Help prepare NHS Improvement, Department of Health and Social Care and VAT returns on a rotational basis
• Reconcile specified control accounts against the Statement of Financial Position and produce journals
• Review income contracts and apply the appropriate Financial Reporting Standard
• Coordinate interim and year-end stock takes and prepare stock adjustment journals
• Reconcile and prepare the monthly CIS return
• Reconcile and prepare Congestion Charge reimbursements from TfL
• Ensure payroll deductions for third parties are paid over on time
• Help prepare VAT, CIS, income tax, National Insurance and NHS pension returns
• Maintain the losses and special payments register
• Assist in producing statutory accounts and returns to NHS Improvement, DHSC and HMRC deadlines
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports for the Head of Financial Accounts
