Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant who is actively studying toward an accountancy qualification. You will join the Finance team, supporting reconciliations, VAT returns and NHS Pension submissions while helping produce timely reports for statutory deadlines.

Qualifications

• Part qualified CCAB accountant (first level) or AAT.
• Good standard of general education to include English and Maths (GCSE C or above).

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual accounts by completing assigned responsibilities.
• Assist in producing financial reports and VAT/NI/Income tax/NHS Pension returns.
• Reconcile General Ledger control accounts and prepare journals.
• Review Income contracts and align with Financial Reporting Standards.
• Coordinate interim and year-end stock takes and prepare stock adjustment journals.
• Reconcile and prepare monthly CIS returns and Congestion Charge reimbursements from TFL.
• Ensure payroll deductions to third parties are paid timely.
