Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an Apprenticeship and Employability Officer to lead on apprenticeship, work experience and employability programmes. You will collaborate with schools, colleges and providers to build pathways into NHS careers and support apprentices throughout their journey.

The role involves coordinating events, developing partnerships, and delivering workshops to inspire diverse talent to consider NHS opportunities.

Qualifications

• Training/teaching qualification such as PTTLS / Cert Ed. Learning Development level 3 or willing to work towards
• Level 3 Business Administration or a Level 3 Health Related qualification
• Literacy and numeracy qualifications or GCSE pass grade A – C or 4 -9
• Evidence of continued professional development

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for enquiries; provide guidance on Apprenticeships, work experience, employability and learning activities
• Support widening participation by establishing Traineeship Programmes for the Trust
• Deliver support sessions/workshops on apprenticeship opportunities
• Maintain manual and electronic filing systems and databases per department policies
• Provide pastoral support to newly recruited apprentices and help with progression
