Job Description:

Are you a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist wanting to gain experience working with people with additional needs?

How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four*?

Job Details:
  • Job Title: Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist
  • Location: Heath Farm School – Kent, TN27 0AX
  • Salary: Up to £30,000 FTE DOE
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
  • Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only plus two weeks worked in the school holidays
About the role:

Join an evidence-based provision where quality and neuro-affirming best practices are delivered. We are looking for an enthusiastic newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding team. You will complete a preceptorship year under supervision, then work more independently once competencies are signed off. You will assess and treat individuals, deliver activities in individual and group settings, and provide training to staff and other agencies.

You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team including Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and therapy assistants, to create a nurturing environment for our pupils.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Speech and Language Therapy BSc (Hons)
  • Registered with HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assess needs and formulate treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records per HCPC & RCOT standards
  • Motivated, responsible, and reliable
  • Good time management and organizational skills
