Job summary

Kingston And Richmond NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screener to join the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme. You will carry out screening tests for newborns in hospital and community settings, explain results to families, and maintain precise records.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English, Maths and IT at minimum.
• Health Screener Diploma Level 3 or willingness to complete.
• NVQ Level 2 or higher and related certificates desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screening tests in hospital and community settings.
• Explain the screening process and results to parents with sensitivity.
• Maintain accurate patient records and screening data.
• Follow national screening standards and local protocols.
• Work closely with maternity, neonatal, audiology and admin teams.
• Promote a positive experience for families during screening.
