Newborn Hearing Screener - Saturday Shift (Cardiff)

Job summary

Based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, you will join the Newborn Hearing Screening Wales team to deliver screening in hospital and community settings.

The post is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a fixed rota including a 4-hour Saturday morning shift; salary is £26,813–£27,890 per annum pro rata.

Applicants should be able to travel between sites and complete Level 3 Accredited Learning as required.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent including GCSE English language.
• ECDL or other computer skill qualification.
• Evidence of recent CPD.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents throughout the screening process.
• Handle babies and operate screening equipment.
• Record clinical and test data accurately.
• Travel between NBHSW sites and run clinics in the community.
• Undertake Level 3 Accredited Learning on appointment.
