Job summary

Public Health Wales is seeking a Regional Nurse to provide professional leadership and governance across the Bowel Screening Wales nursing teams in Wales. The post will drive service development and continuous improvement to improve population outcomes and reduce inequalities.

You will support SCIP delivery, contribute to national training programmes and policy standards, and monitor risk and performance using feedback and data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated registered nurse with experience in clinical governance, service improvement and performance management.
• Desirable Welsh language ability for the post.

Bowel Screening Wales, part of the Screening Division within Public Health Wales, delivers the national bowel screening programme for eligible people aged 50-74 years across Wales.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in public health and screening services. The Regional Nurse will be a key member of the Bowel Screening Wales nursing team, providing professional leadership and support to regional bowel screening teams across Wales.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to act as a visible point of contact for local clinical teams, driving service development and continuous improvement to enhance population outcomes. Working closely with colleagues across Bowel Screening Wales, the post holder will support the delivery of the Screening Colonoscopy Improvement Project (SCIP) and initiatives to reduce screening inequalities, contributing to service innovation, quality improvement and the delivery of high-quality, equitable screening services.
The post holder will play a key role in the development and delivery of national training programmes and contribute to the development of national policy and professional standards. They will monitor risk and programme performance within their region, using service user feedback, quality assurance findings and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive service development.
