Job summary

Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust in Luton is recruiting to support the delivery of Newborn Health Screening in Luton & Bedfordshire. The post holder will work under the direction of the Local NHSP Manager, with work across Maternity, NNU, Outpatient clinics and Children Centres, including home visits.

Training and NVQ Level 3 Diploma within 2 years are required, with weekend rotation (1:3). The base is Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Daisy Ward.

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills required.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma to be achieved within 2 years of recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Screen babies prior to discharge across maternity wards, clinics and home visits.
• Use Smart 4 Hearing Database and maternity database to identify babies needing screening.
• Travel to other venues to set up NHSP screening in outpatient clinics and home visits.
• Organise and prioritise workload with colleagues to cover postnatal wards, SCBU, clinics and home visits.
• Report concerns of mother/baby wellbeing and document data input.
