Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screener to join the Audiology Department across Leeds General Infirmary and St James Hospital. You will screen newborns on postnatal wards, in delivery suites and neonatal units, obtaining consent and communicating results to families.

The role requires flexibility to work seven days including weekends and bank holidays, and you will undertake training for the Level 3 Diploma in Health Screening.

Formación

• Excellent communication skills to gain informed consent from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to use information technology to upload results and perform admin tasks.
• Willingness to undertake the Level 3 Diploma in Health Screening.
• Strong team-work skills and ability to work independently when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Screen newborns on postnatal wards, delivery suite and neonatal units.
• Obtain informed consent and explain screening results and follow-up actions.
• Upload electronic results and complete administrative tasks related to the programme.
• Cover seven-day service including weekends and bank holidays as required.
